Many people go to a florist for times of celebration. I went for the passing of my mother. Being very particular, I wanted to honor my mom's memory with flowers that meant something. Me and all my siblings each had a different idea of what flower was her favorite and what it meant to each of us. None nailed every single arrangement while still having all of it come together beautifully and with a strong sense of grace... just like my mom. Everyone in attendance was shocked at how absolutely beautiful the experience was saying goodbye to her. Even the funeral director hadn't seen flower arrangements as beautiful as Nona's before. Although I now live out of state, any of my events that require floral arrangements will be done only by Nona. Thank you so much for helping at such a difficult time. Your passion for your art can be seen by any who have the honor of seeing your arrangements.

Nona is the BEST florist I could’ve asked for! Flowers at weddings are super important to me - they’re the first thing I notice at any wedding. I don’t know much about flowers, at all (ie, don’t know the names, don’t know how much they cost, don’t know how to arrange even a basic bunch in a basic vase lol). But Nona made my vision for wedding flowers come to life. And we got SOO many compliments from guests about how beautiful our floral arrangements were! During my first meeting with Nona, I had nothing finalized - I showed her my ideas for my bridal gown, bridesmaids dresses, and groom/groomsmen color ideas. I also showed photos of flowers/colors I liked, along with some examples of arrangements I liked from her yelp page. And we reviewed/finalized all those ideas a couple weeks before the wedding. And that was all Nona worked off of to bring my vision to life. I had no clue what I would see the day of, but the moment I saw the flowers, I was 100% satisfied and so very pleased. I kept admiring the flowers every day for as long as they lasted, and even tried to dry as much as I could to make them “last” longer. Additionally, Nona is flexible. I let her know my budget, and she helped me get as close to my budget as possible by making some changes to the initial proposal she sent (ie, shrank the tall/large centerpieces by 2-4 inches, which was fine with me - they were still huge & larger than average!) THANK YOU NONA for helping me create the most beautiful wedding florals I could’ve imagined! I highly recommend her & would use her again for any future floral arrangement needs :)

Nona did an amazing job for me on a custom funeral wreath. Nona’s craftsmanship was meticulous. She is amazing.

I have been ordering floral arrangements from Nona at the Floral Design Studio for several years, even during my time working at Mills College. Several departments at the college ordered arrangements from her. Her prices are reasonable and you get your money's worth, unlike the majority of florists. Nona's arrangements are unique, contemporary, one of a kind, works of art! She always surprises me with her arrangements. They are WOWs! and could cost twice as much. She's a delight to work with and also her assistant at the store. One day I was at my dentist's office and I was enjoying a fancy floral arrangement they had on display in their office and in walks Nona making another office delivery. I should have recognized her work. The pretty flowers helped calm me down before I was having oral surgery. (Just breathe!)

Nona did a truly beautiful job with the flowers for my wedding. My wife and I had a very particular vision of what we wanted, and Nona listened well and put together beautiful arrangements that were exactly what we had in mind. We also had a last-minute change—we moved our ceremony from outdoors to indoors—that required her to do a lot of additional flower work in the last week before the wedding, and she handled it expertly and the results were breathtaking. And she did some amazing construction/carpentry work on our mandap, in addition to the florals. The photos speak for themselves. She is also incredibly kind. Can’t recommend her highly enough; she can do it all and at a much more reasonable price than most florists with her level of talent! (Photos by Usman Baporia, also highly recommended!)

I can’t explain to you how thrilled I was with Nona’s beautiful floral work at my wedding. I gave her a moodboard, a few quick sketches, and after a touch base, she showed up magically with everything I ever wanted. She nailed the vibe, the color palette, and the quirky little details I wasn’t sure were gonna work— Nona made sure they did! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and will forever be grateful to her for making our day so extra beautiful 🩷

This review is several years overdue. I’ve been going to Nona for flowers for the past 10 years and she always does such an amazing job. We hired Nona to do our flowers for our wedding a few years ago and she was so easy to work with. I came back this year for Valentine’s Day flowers and my wife loves the flowers every time.

I hate revealing my secret weapons, but Nona at Floral Design Studio is too good not to write this review. I have been using Nona for a few years for practically all my bouquets now, because her eye for design is so incredible and the range of variety of bouquets she has helped me put together is amazing. From elegant and dainty to over the top and grand, for mother's day, valentine's day, anniversary, and random occasions...at first I used to get asked "whoa where did you get a bouquet like that from?" and eventually .... "you used Nona, didn't you?"..because you can tell the difference compared to elsewhere - everything is elevated at Floral Design Studio! Plus, as a guy who doesn't know too much about flowers, I like being able to give a rough idea or request maybe a favorite flower, and then Nona runs with that to create a whole vision. Definitely recommend, thank you!!
